George came to this area in 1898.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and retired in 1957 from the Pickands Mather Mining Company, Danube Mine.
Surviving are his wife, Alvilda; three daughters, Mrs. Ed (Olive) Polzin, Mrs. Byron (Violet) Fremont and Mrs. Ron (Dolores) Voigt; two sisters, Mrs. Willis Axelson and Mrs. Willis Breen; two brothers, Ed and Roderick; twelve grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
George died in the Itasca Memorial Hospital in Grand Rapids, Minnesota and is buried in Lakeview Cemetery at Coleraine, Minnesota.
