    George Menard married Mary Michelcich in Minnesota in 1953. He was a Pengilly, Minnesota resident since about 1954. He was a welder by trade. He was a member of the American Legion Walter Riley Post #307 in Nashwauk, Minnesota.

    George died at the University Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota and is buried in Nashwauk Cemetery, Nashwauk, Minnesota (Protestant Division II, Block 15, Row 2). He is survived by his wife, Mary; three sons, Gary, Darrell, and Allen; two daughters, Mary Ann and Cindy Lou; his mother, Mrs. Anna Menard; five brothers, Bert, Donald, Byron, Bryce, and Willis; and three sisters, Beatrice Olson, Marie Talbott, and Margaret Menard.
