George had been an Effie, Minnesota resident for many years until ill health made it necessary for him to become a resident of Leisure Hills Nursing Home in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. He had been a woodsman in the Effie area for many years.

George was a member of the Effie post of the VFW.

He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Nellis Landin, Mrs. Elva Hoover, and Mrs. Erma Bierley; two brothers, Jesse and William; two sons, Raymond and Kenneth; two daughters, Mrs. Ellen Holterman and Mrs. Raymond Hendrickson; and sixteen grandchildren.

Buried in Itasca Calvary Cemetery at Grand Rapids, Minnesota. (Plot I-G-11-1-3)
