George Dimich was a former Bovey business man who operated a cafe in the building on main street that became Mike's Bar in later years. He moved to Babbitt in 1956 where he was a welder for Reserve Mining Co. for many years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 4757 in Babbitt.
George died in Bloomenson Nursing Home in Ely, Minnesota. He is survived by his wife, Lorna; three sons, John, William, and George Jr.; two daughters, Barb Dimich and Mary Dimich; a sister, Rose Docman; and seven grandchildren.
