    Jerry was raised by his step-mom, Hilda, from the age of 2.

    After his discharge from the United States Navy, he moved to Effie, Minnesota in 1936. He owned his own logging company. Jerry's favorite past time was playing golf with all his special friends.

    Preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Hazel; his mom, dad, and step-mom; brothers, Merlin and George; a sister, Beverly Uzarek; a son, James Gilbert; and a granddaughter, Jill Flom.

    Jerry is survived by his son, Wendal (Sally); daughter, Jeri (Oscar) Johnson; brother Donald (Bonnie); sister, Alyce Doyle; eight grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

    Jerry died at his home in Effie, Minnesota and is buried in the Bigfork Cemetery at Bigfork, Minnesota. (Third Addition, Block 44)
