    Greg served in the United States Army at Fort Carson, Colorado from 1965 to 1967.

    On December 14, 1968, Greg married Shirley Mahowald in Shakopee, Minnesota.

    In 1969, Greg started working for Minnetonka, Inc. and his son, Mark, was born. The family then moved to New Prague, Minnesota, and in 1978 they moved to Waconia. Greg continued to work for Minnetonka Inc. in Jonathan, Minnesota. In 1982, his son, Mike, was born.

    The family purchased Trails' End Resort on Bowstring Lake, north of Deer River, Minnesota in 1983. Greg worked side-by-side with his family to make the resort a home for family and guests alike. He enjoyed ice fishing and target shooting with family and friends. Greg's strong work ethic and caring demeanor will be fondly remembered by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

    Greg was preceded in death by his father, Raymond and his sister, Sheila Klatt.

    He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Shirley; his sons, Mark (Kelly) and Mike; his grandson, Nic; his mother, Lucy; his brothers, Doug (Jan) and Dean (Audrey); his sister, Amy (Don) Kelly; and his brother-in-law, John Klatt.

    Greg died of lung cancer. He was able to pass away in his home with the assistance of Hospice and was cremated.
