Harlem lived in Grand Rapids, Minnesota most of his adult life working for Greenway Mines, then LTV, for 35 years until retiring in 1994.

He was the "go-to-guy" about anything mechanical for his daughters. Harlem's passions were farming, guns, history, and television programs about the "market". He was a wealth of information to his family with a quick mind and definite opinions! Many lively conversations regarding his passions kept his family on their toes.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Harlem is survived by his wife of 40 years, Glenyce; two daughters and three step-daughters, Joy Ann Heisler, Carleen (Tim) Kunz, Wanda (John Neumiller) Bunes, Coleen (Mark) Lofgren, Toni (Phil) Hansen; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, LaVanche Boedigheimer; brother, Bud (Mary) Fossen; and many nieces and nephews.

Harlem died after a lengthy illness in St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth, Minnesota and is buried in Itasca Calvary Cemetery at Grand Rapids, Minnesota. (Plot I-D-17-15)
