    Harold lived in Bigfork, Minnesota. He was a former prominent Bovey banker and civic leader.

    Harold worked in Montana, Ironwood, Michigan and Cloquet, Minnesota before serving in World War I.

    After his discharge, Harold worked in a bank in Fallon, Montana and came to Bovey, Minnesota in 1921. He was employed as a cashier at the First National Bank in Bovey, Minnesota and became president in 1958, a position he held until his retirement. He was on the Bovey bank board of directors and also served on the board of Grand Rapids State Bank for a number of years.

    Active in church and civic affairs, he was a member of the Scenic Pines Church, American Legion, Lions Club, and local and state banking associations.

    Survivors are his wife, Lyda; a daughter, Jeanette Frederickson; a son, Alexander; a sister, Irma Cummings; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was married to Lyda Schafer at Coleraine, Minnesota in 1965 after the death of his first wife.

    Harold died at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota. He is buried in Lakeview Cemetery at Coleraine, Minnesota.
