    Henry grew up in the Pine River, Minnesota area.

    He farmed in the Longville, Minnesota area for a few years and has lived in the Grand Rapids, Minnesota area for the past thirty years.

    Henry worked for many years for the Hanna Mining Company as a truck driver and retired in 1974.

    He was a member of the Ponti-Peterson VFW Post, the McVeigh-Dunn American Legion Post and the Loyal Order of the Moose, all of Grand Rapids, Minnesota.

    Henry was preceded in death by his wife, Frances, in 1964, a daughter, Jessie Grady in 1985, and a son, Norman Simmens, in 1983.

    Henry is survived by daughters, Marian Heavirland and Joan Young; sons, George Simmens, Keith Simmens, Anthony Young, and Donald Young; two sisters, Mary Varhalla and Elsie Sullivan; a brother, Elmer; twenty-six grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

    Henry died at Itasca Memorial Hospital in Grand Rapids, Minnesota and is buried in Itasca Calvary Cemetery at Grand Rapids, Minnesota. (Plot I-G-13-1-4)
