Howard formerly lived in the Swan Lake area in Itasca County, Minnesota.
He moved to Rockford, Illinois where he resided and later to Crystal Lake, Illinois where he was in the carpet business before retiring and moving to Arizona.
Howard is survived by his wife, Anne. They would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in May, 1996. He is also survived by four sisters, Beatrice, Beverly, Betty, and Bonnie; four brothers, Aden, Wilbur, Eugene, and Larry; two sons; and five grandchildren.
Howard died in Phoenix, Arizona and is buried in the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona at Phoenix, Arizona. (Plot 18D. 0, 3564)
