    On October 16, 1943, Hubert married Ethel Nelson.

    He was a lifelong resident of Bigfork, Minnesota.

    From 1939 to 1942, he co-operated the Evensen Brothers Bakery.

    After the service, he held a variety of jobs. In 1949, he went to work for the North Itasca Electric Co-op in Bigfork, Minnesota. He became line superintendent in 1952 and worked up to general manager of the Co-op in 1956. He organized EZTV bringing quality television reception to the area in 1962. The Evensen sub-station of Alvwood was dedicated to him after his retirement in 1985.

    Hubert attended the Bigfork First Presbyterian Church in Bigfork, Minnesota, was a member of the Scottish Rite Bodies of Duluth, Chippewa Lodge No. 275 A.F&A.M. of Deer River, Minnesota and AAD Temple Shrine. He was a member of the Hibbing Lodge of Perfection and a past member of the American Legion Post of Effie, Minnesota.

    Hubert is survived by his wife, Ethel, three daughters, Sandy Randall, Pam McKenzie, and Vicki Hagen; a sister, Clarice Gustafson; two brothers, Wayne and Tom; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

    Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother, Wendell.

    Hubert died at Northern Itasca Health Care Center in Bigfork, Minnesota of cancer. Burial is in Bigfork Cemetery at Bigfork, Minnesota.
