    After graduation from high school, Jack enlisted in the United States Army and had his basic training at Fort Benning, Georgia. He proudly served in the Vietnam Conflict and continued to serve his country for two years.

    Jack returned home to Deer River, Minnesota and worked in the construction industry for the next twenty-six years.

    On January 2, 1971, Jack married Durene Siegel at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Deer River, Minnesota. From this union, three daughters were born. Jack and Durene resided in rural Deer River until August of 1994 when they moved to Wheaton, Minnesota.

    Jack was an active member of the VFW in Deer River, Minnesota and the American Legion in Wheaton, Minnesota.

    Jack's passion included "scrapping iron" from a young age and continued throughout his life. Jack also had a love for Northern Minnesota which he considered "God's Country" and always considered home. Jack's quiet demeanor and kindness made him loved by many. Jack's love for his family, grandchildren and great graddaughter were undeniable.

    Jack is survived by his wife, Durene; his children, Tracy (Darin) Hanson, Jackie (David) Doust; and Cassie (Lyle) Yuenger; siblings, Richard (Marie), John (Carol); and Kathy (David) Hron; eleven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.

    Jack was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Irene Danielson and his parents-in-law Wayne and Magdline Siegel.

    Jack died at Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls, Minnesota and is buried in Olivet Cemetery at Deer River, Minnesota. No photo of grave marker is available at this time.
