    James lived in the area for about 60 years. He was retired in 1962 as maintenance mechanic for Jones and Laughlin Mining Company after 28 years of employment.

    Recently he and his wife, Olive, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.

    He was preceded in death by a daughter; Mrs. Harry (Marie) Drumbeater, and two sisters; Jenny Carter and Myrtle Brown.
    Survivors are his wife, Olive Nellie Simpson Blaine; two daughters, Mrs. Wendell (Elaine) Bagger and Mrs. Roger (Doreen) Rice; three sons, Clarence R., Kenneth G., and James C., Jr; two brothers, Elmer Blaine and Harold Einarson; twenty-four grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren.

    Buried in Lakeview Cemetery at Coleraine, Minnesota. (Block 140)
