James Berardo was a live-long resident of Taconite, Minnesota. He married Laurine Maves and was the manager of the West Range ice arena in Coleraine, Minnesota. He played professional hockey for Sault Ste. Marie and the Detroit Red Wing organization and played semi-pro with the old Hibbing Flyers and the Taconite Hornets.
James Berardo died in Taconite, Minnesota and is buried in Lakeview Cemetery, Coleraine, Minnesota (Block 118). He is survived by his wife, Laurine; two daughters, Mrs. Robert Tok and Carol; a son, William; three sisters, Mrs. Peter Tarro, Mrs. Irven Poore, and Mrs. James Guyer; one grandchild; and a brother, Mathew Berardo.
