Joe Cigonovich married Eini Tamminen in 1953. He was an auto mechanic for Paul’s Garage in Calumet, Minnesota for 33 years, retiring in 1980. He was a 33 year member of the Calumet Fire Dept, serving as chief for a few years. He also served on the Calumet City Council for four years.
Joe died in Calumet, Minnesota and is buried in Lakeview Cemetery, Coleraine, Minnesota (Serbian section - Block 45, Lot 31). He is survived by special friend of 26 years, Carolyn Vogt; three sisters, Mary (Louis) Williams, Ann (Pete) Jones, and Mitzy (Charlie) Stevens; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Milan and Marie Cigonovich and his wife Eini.
