    John came to Grand Rapids, Minnesota in 1936 with his family.

    He returned to Grand Rapids following his military tour and married Norma VanGuilder in Duluth, Minnesota in 1947.

    He worked for United States Steel as a welder and later worked for Blandin Paper Company from 1962 to 1991. John was a member of Quarter Century Club of Blandin Paper Company and owned/operated Fraedrich Specialty Welding of Grand Rapids.

    Preceded in death by son John III in 1977, surviving relatives include his wife, Norma; daughter, Debra Treacy; a grandson raised as a son, John IV; grandson, Sean Treacy; and sisters, Evelyn Hoppert, Jeanette Prestegard, Lillian Larsen and Nira Beddoe.

    John died in St. Augustine, Florida and is buried in Itasca Calvary Cemetery at Grand Rapids, Minnesota. (Plot C-C-24-1-5)
