On October 5, 1946, John married Rose Gualtieri in Chicago, Illinois. John was employed by Blandin Paper Company as a millwright. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Grand Rapids, Minnesota and the Independent Order of Foresters (I.O.F.). John loved to watch wildlife.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother; a sister; and a son, Rick.
John is survived by his wife of 62 years, Rose; daughter Linda (Daryl) Olson; sons Jeff and Scott (Heidi); seven grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Buried in Harris Cemetery at Grand Rapids, Minnesota. (Plot 3.9.3.4)
