    John Miller lived in Wright County, Minnesota after the Civil War and then located in the Bowstring area in Itasca County in the late 1890s.

    John died at St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth, Minnesota from rheumatism and old age ailments. He is buried in Riverside Cemetery, Vasser, Michigan (Block B, Lot 23). He is survived by a brother and a sister in Vassar, Michigan.
