    Jack married Edna Mantila on December 15, 1951.

    He was a longtime member of the Deer River Fire Department. He worked for the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, Fish and Game. Jack retired after 37 years of service.

    Jack was preceded in death by his father, John; mother, Peggy; sisters Molly and Snooks; and a son, Steven.

    He is survived by his wife, Edna; sons, Mike and Rick (Cindy); daughters, Marilyn (Harold) Goggleye, Peggy Kuck, and Pam (Kyle) Weaver.

    Jack died in Duluth, Minnesota and is buried in Olivet Cemetery at Deer River, Minnesota.
