    After serving in the military, John returned to Keewatin, Minnesota where he married Helen Erceg in Nashwauk, Minnesota.

    He had worked for Republic Steel and the M.A. Hanna Mining Company Research Lab, retiring as a lab technician in 1981.

    John was a member of Keewatin American Legion, Keewatin Senior Citizens, St. Mary's Catholic Church, and was especially active with the Keewatin Fourth of July Committee in Keewatin, Minnesota.

    He was an avid gardener and enjoyed bowling in the Classic League in Hibbing, Minnesota.

    John was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen; his infant twin; brothers, Dominic, Victor, Tony, Paul and James; sister, Mary Moudent; and a stepson, Joe.

    He is survived by his wife, Armenia; sons, John J. (Susan), Jr., David, and Steve (Laura); daughter, Mary Ann (James) Waldvogel; stepdaughter, Dolly (James) Moy; brothers, Patsy Emanuel and Joe (Gladys) Emanuel; and eleven grandchildren.

    John had been living in Waverly, Minnesota. He died in Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids, Minnesota and is buried in Maple Hill Cemetery at Hibbing, Minnesota. (Plot BL 5 LT 11 GR 2 E 1/2)
