John Lee married Jeanine Hoshal in 1958 in Minnesota. He was a truck driver for LTV Mining, retiring in 1995. He was a member of the Bovey Moose Lodge since 1964; the Marble Fire Department for 20 years, retiring in 1986; and smokey stover.
John died in Grand Rapids, Minnesota and is buried in Lakeview Cemetery, Coleraine, Minnesota. He is survived by his daughter, Merry Lee; a sister, Mary Jane Hedman; a niece Mary Lee Hedman; and a granddog, Scrappy. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Jeanine in 2001.
