  • Military Highlights:
Newspaper article - Itasca Iron News, Coleraine, Minnesota - Jul 1945 – Judging from a letter received from Sgt. Space Buck, the weather where he is located is about on a par with what we have been having here. Space celebrated his Fourth of July by writing to us. It snowed there June 8. There had been two nice days, and all the rest, cold rains. They were getting long days, sun up at about four and setting about eleven. Said he was due for rotation to the states on the first of April, but six months had been added to his tour of duty. Hoped the transfer would come in October.
