Joseph was married to his first wife, Loretta Wallace, and after her death, he married Tillie Norberg on January 24, 1953.
They owned and operated Snow White/King Koin Laundromat for many years.
Joseph retired from the United States Postal Service.
Joseph was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta in 1949, second wife, Tillie in 1997; a son, Joseph; and a sister, Anne Klowkoski.
Surviving family includes his children, Joel Yocus; Dennis (Donna) Yocus, Bonita Yocus, Joanne (Rick) Nelson; and Tony (Tammy) Yocus; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Joseph died in Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospital in Grand Rapids, Minnesota and is buried in Ball Bluff Cemetery at Jacobson, Minnesota in Aitkin County.
