    Joseph Blanchard married Idella "Dell" Goldbrand in 1973 in Marble, Minnesota. He retired as a lab technician from LTV Steel Co. He also had done upholstery work for 20 years. He was a member of the American Legion of Marble, the Marble Civic Club and the Pengilly Senior Citizens.

    Joseph Blanchard died in Grand Rapids, Minnesota and is buried in Lakeview Cemetery, Coleraine, Minnesota (Block 62). He is survived by his wife, Dell; sons Walter “Bucky” (Phyllis) and Fred (Anita) Goldbrand; daughters, Mary Jean (Ray) Martin, Lois (Gary) Shebly, and Joyce (LeRoy) Kosola; brother Frank (Barb) Blanchard; sisters, Shirley (Everett) Hill, Rita (Ron) Bubany, and Bernice (Bob) Berlin; 12 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Elaine.
