Kenneth served in the United States Army as a commanding officer in the South Pacific during World War II. He also organized and commanded the first Army Reserve in Itasca County during the Korean Conflict.

Kenneth was an educator in Minnesota whose positions included principal of the St. Louis County Schools, Wilson School in Kinney, Minnesota, supervisor of Buhl Elementary School in Buhl, Minnesota; and director of elementary education in Grand Rapids, Minnesota for sixteen years.
Kenneth was the author of a number of articles on elementary education.
He had been a resident of Florida since the early 1960s when he was employed by the State Board of Alcoholism as a field representative for Dade and Monroe Counties. He was co-author of the Official State Resource Manual for Florida.
Kenneth was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Lantana, Florida, the American Legion in Lake Worth, Florida, A.F.&A.M. in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, and the National Retired Teachers Association.
Kenneth is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Kenneth is buried in Palm Beach Memorial Park in Lantana, Florida.
