    Ken moved to Pengilly, Minnesota in 1936.

    He worked at Sears Roebuck and Raymond Trucking while attending Dunwoody Institute and Minnesota School of Business.

    In 1950, Ken married Joan Edman from Alvardo, Minnesota.

    He was the President/Owner of Bergstrom Construction (1950-1978), builder/developer of many neighborhoods in the northern Minneapolis suburbs. Ken was the President/Owner of Minn-Kota Excavating (1958-2001). This was a Brooklyn Park, Minnesota based highway/heavy construction firm, building and improving infrastructure in the upper Midwest and Texas.

    Ken and Joan moved to Fort Worth, Texas in 2001.

    He is survived by his wife, Joan; sons, Von (Erika), Kal (Marilyn) and Kym (Bernadette); five grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
