    Leland was raised and attended schools near Osakis, Minnesota.

    Following his service, Leland worked as a carpenter in the Osakis and Alexandria, Minnesota areas.

    Moving to Grand Rapids, Minnesota in 1963, he was presently an Itasca Rock and Mineral Club officer.

    Survivors are a son, Leland P.; daughters, Bonnie Lawson, Connie Moll, and Geneva Potepan; brother, Tony; sister, Louise Sletta; and eight grandchildren.

    Leland died at Itasca Memorial Hospital and is buried in Itasca Calvary Cemetery at Grand Rapids. (Plot I-B-35-0-8)
