    Leo married Candace Partridge on March 25, 1995.

    He worked construction at Clay-Boswell in Cohasset, Minnesota.

    He was a member of the Leech Lake Honor Guard and a chemical dependency counselor.

    For many years, he coached the Ball Club Little League baseball team.

    Leo is survived by his wife, Candace; two sons, George and Andrew; three stepchildren, Ryan, Rose and Macus; sisters, Mary "Pungi" Mitchell and Lucille "Butchie" White; brother, Lawrence "Sandy" Gotchie; Phyllis Gotchie, mother of Francine Smith, Leo, Jr., Myrna Gotchie, Charles Gotchie, Bernadette Robinson, Benjamin Gotchie, Milton Gotchie, Larry Gotchie, Nancy Gotchie, and Jade Michelle Belgarde-Gotchie; and he raised Marcie Gotchie.

    Preceding him in death were his parents; daughter, Michelle "Pippi" Gotchie; sisters, twin sister, Leona "Dolly" Fairbanks, Frances Humphrey, Veronica Jackson, Martha Michaud, and Adaline Bowstring; and brothers, Joe Gotchie and Johnny Kingbird.

    Leo died at St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth, Minnesota and is buried in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Ball Club, Minnesota.
