LeRoy lived his entire life in the Wendigo area of Grand Rapids, Minnesota. He married Jessie Bixby on June 18, 1953. He worked for Cleveland Cliffs Mining Company for 19 years and had worked for School District 318 for 13 years until his retirement. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and the Moose Club in Grand Rapids, Minnesota.

Preceded in death by brothers Rodney, Robert and Douglas, surviving relatives include his wife, Jessie; daughters Cindy Erickson, Michelle Anderson, and Roxanne Foix; son Dennis; sister Joy Leaf; and ten grandchildren.

Buried in Harris Cemetery at Grand Rapids, Minnesota. (Plot 3.24.2.8)
