    Martin homesteaded in Boy River, Minnesota as a young man.

    He worked at the Mobil Gas Station in Grand Rapids, Minnesota until his retirement eight years ago when he and his wife moved to Cohasset, Minnesota.

    Survivors are his wife, Merle; five daughters, Mrs. Lloyd Meissner, Mrs. Orville Olson, Mrs. Virginia Cowan, Mrs. Fred Silbaugh, and Mrs. Philip Koppenberg; two sons, Dale and Deane; a sister, Mrs. Henry Esser; and four brothers, George, Arnold, Louie, and Richard.

    Martin died unexpectedly at his home. He was operating a snow blower, collapsed and was brought by ambulance to Itasca Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. He is buried in Wildwood Cemetery at Cohasset, Minnesota. (p34w12)
