Martin married Margaret LaFond on March 7, 1945 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They then moved to the Marble, Minnesota area in 1946 and he worked for the Cleveland Cliffs Mining Company for some time. He then worked as an electrician for the Bechtel Construction Company, until 1966 when he was forced to retire because of ill health.
He and his wife had moved to their present rural Bovey, Minnesota address in Trout Lake Township, Itasca County, less than two months ago.
He is survived by his wife; two sisters, Mrs. Willard Amerein and Mrs. Cecelia Wisner; and one brother, Frank.
Buried in Itasca Calvary Cemetery in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. (Plot I-G-06-0-4)
