    Marvin Loff married Diann Koehn in Minnesota in June 1958 and the couple was able to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary a few months prior to his death. After completing his college education, he became a certified public accountant, working at several firms including Ernst and Ernst and Virchow Krause. He received the prestigious Life Member distinction from the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants in 1995, about a year after his retirement. Marv was musical and his e-mail address was "mntuba" which he played in school bands, city bands, "German" bands, and polka bands. At the University of Minnesota he played in the marching band and in the concert band that played a joint number with the Minneapolis Orchestra on one occasion. He also was a member of the Windjammers Circus Music Society. He was past president of the Northern Suburban Community Band and was an active member of the Fridley City Band to the day of his death. Marv was a longtime member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

    Marv died in his home in Spring Lake Park, Minnesota and is buried in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, Minnesota (Plot 32, 624). He is survived by his wife, Diann; sons Steven (Linda) and Eric (Jill); five grandchildren; and many relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eino and Hilma.
