Newspaper article: Bovey Press, Bovey, Minnesota - December 24, 1943 - "Dear Folks: I received my card and news of subscription to the "Readers Digest" from the Club - many thanks- it's a grand feeling to be remembered by so many. Every Monday morning brings my Bovey Press and believe me that's the one day of the week I make a run for the mail. All the girls in the home want to read the back page. They enjoy the letters and especially Ann's, almost as much as I do. They think the Service Club is a grand organization, and we must have a grand bunch of people living in our town. None of the others have anything like it where they come from. My Christmas will be a little late as I won't be able to get home till Christmas day evening, late, but I am certainly thankful to be able to get home then. I wish all the kids from all over could be as fortunate as I am. We are to be measured for our uniforms right after the 1st of the year, so it won't be too long now. Many thanks again to the Service Club and all of you who are remembering me with cards and letters. Sincerely, Muriel Carlson."
