    Nancy served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and was stationed in Heidelberg, Germany as a teletype operator.

    Nancy grew up in rural southwest Itasca County and lived in Grand Rapids, Hibbing, Chisholm, Cohasset, and Minneapolis, Minnesota.

    Nancy moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma for health reasons.

    Nancy worked for Itasca County in the 1960s and also worked for Hennepin County. In Oklahoma City, she worked as a typesetter for several printing companies.

    She is survived by her children, Frank (Judy) Gersich, Albin Gersich, Joseph Gersich, and Kerry Melton; a sister, Joelle; and two brothers, George and William (Carol) Goodell.

    Nancy died at her daughter's home in Oklahoma City after suffering from lingering health problems. She is buried in Itasca Calvary Cemetery at Grand Rapids, Minnesota. (Plot I-C-15-3-1)
