    Nick Chupurdia lived for over 50 years in the Calumet, Minnesota area. He had been an active member of the VFW Post following his service with the Army and was a member of the DAV. He was a member of the Calumet City Water Department and a retired maintenance foreman of Jones & Laughlin Mining Co. of Calumet.

    Nick Chupurdia died in Grand Rapids, Minnesota and is buried in Lakeview Cemetery, Coleraine, Minnesota (Block 117, Lot 35). He is survived by his wife Darlene; two daughters, Diane Herwig and Donna (Bruce) Barker; four sons, Mike, Steve, Sam and David; his mother, Mary Medich; three sisters, Minnie Harrison, Ellen Cogger, and Rose Chupurdia; five brothers, Rudy, Sam, Eli and Melvin Chupurdia, and Robert Medich; and seven grandchildren.
