Nick Dukich married Gladys Haynes in Minnesota in 1941. He owned and operated Dukich’s Grocery Store in Calumet for many years until he sold it in 1975. He then worked for Independent School District 316 for seven years until his retirement in 1982. He was a member of the Pengilly Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 8833, the Marble American Legion, Pengilly Boosters Club, and Swan Lake Country Club.
Nick died in Grand Rapids, Minnesota and is buried in Lakeview Cemetery, Coleraine, Minnesota (Serbian section - Block 45). He is survived by his wife, Gladys; son George; daughter, Beverly Jeffery; brother, Dan; sister, Pearl Dubovich; and one grandchild.
