Norbert is survived by his wife, Yvonne; a son, Gary; three daughters, Janet Smith, Kaleen Smith, and Brenda Maasch; three brothers, Harvey, Gordon, and James; three sisters, Erma James, Hazel Carlson, and Shirley Horner; and thirteen grandchildren.

Norbert died at Itasca Medical Center in Grand Rapids and is buried in Itasca Calvary Cemetrery at Grand Rapids, Minnesota. (Plot C-C-15-0-4)
