Oiva Koski married Lila Helman in Minnesota in 1940. He was a past board member of the F.A.H.A. and a member of the Siteseeker Travel Club,
Oiva died in Sonoma County, California and is buried in Santa Rosa Memorial Park (Veteran's Lawn/Urn Garden), Santa Rosa, California (Grave 1004-3A). He is survived by his wife, Lila M.
