Information from Itasca News from Deer River, Minnesota dated March 18, 1937:
"Oscar Forsman, 63 years of age, who has been a resident of this community for more than 30 years, died at the hospital at Grand Rapids last Saturday night. Mr. Forsman was unmarried and lived in various communities of northern Minnesota at times, but always claimed this as his home town. He was a brother of Peter Forsman of Deer Lake."
Mr. Forsman was a veteran of the Spanish-American war, and came into this community only a few years after the war ended.
Oscar is buried in Pine Ridge Cemetery at Deer River, Minnesota.
