His recruit training consists of instruction in seamanship, military drill and general naval procedure. During this period a series of aptitude tests will be taken by the recruit to determine whether he will be assigned to a naval service school, to a shore station or to immediate duty at sea. When his recruit training is completed, Paul will receive a period of leave.”

    Paul Mitchell married Barbara Campbell in Minnesota in 1951. He retired from Reynolds Metals Co. after 40 years. He then worked 10 years at Temroc Metals.

    Paul died at his home in Rockford, Minnesota and is buried in Parkers Lake Cemetery, Plymouth, Minnesota. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Barbara; daughter Cathy (Jim) Richartz; son, Scott (Susan) Mitchell; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a brother, Dean (Janelle) Mitchell. He was preceded in death by his sons, Peter and Paul Jr; five brothers; and one sister.
