Pete Lolich attended college on the GI Bill and earned a degree in Electrical Engineering, studying at the University of California at Berkley, Montana School of Mining in Butte, Montana and finishing up his degree at the University of Minnesota. He was employed by Consumers Power Company in Michigan starting in 1949, retiring after 37 years. He married Marjorie Gelhorn in 1952 in Michigan. The couple lived in Flint, Fenton, and Jackson, Michigan while raising their family.
Pete died in East Lansing, Michigan and is buried in Nashwauk Cemetery, Nashwauk, Minnesota. He is survived by a son, Michael; daughters, Diane, Karen (Jamie Johnson), Mary, Laura (David) Anderson, and Linda (Matt) Lucas; four grandchildren; brother Steve Lolich; sisters-in-law, Kathleen (Robert) Wendling and Shirley (Richard) Vance; brother-in-law, Philip (Mary) Gelhorn; many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie; parents; brother, Milan; sister and brother-in-law, Helen and George Shust; niece, Kathleen Shust; and grand-nephew, Stephen Raymond Skundberg.
