    Philip was raised in Grand Rapids, Minnesota and worked for the Blandin Paper Company. He had recently moved to the Twin Cities and was presently living in St. Paul, Minnesota.

    He is survived by three daughters, Wanda, Frances, and Sheryl; one son, Trent; one half sister, Mrs. Kent (Ruth) Sample; one brother, Richard; three half-brothers, George, Gary, and Kurt; his mother, Mrs. Florence Brooks; and his father George Brooks.
