    Philip Dutter married Billie Ann Marquart in Ft. Wayne, Indiana in 1950 and then moved to New York City. He worked for Lever Brothers and Lederle Laboratories prior to joining McKinsey & Company as a Management Consultant in 1957, retiring in 1986. He served on the Board of Directors of the Cologne Reinsurance Company and the Guardian Life Insurance Company.

    Philip died in New Canaan, Connecticut. He is survived by his two sons, Gordon (Anna) and Andrew (Amy); and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Billie, in 2013.
