    Pete came with his family to northern Itasca County in 1937.

    He lived for a short time in Rockford, Illinois before returning to Bigfork, Minnesota in 1950.

    Pete married Wilma J. Cole in Bigfork, Minnesota on December 8, 1949.

    He worked in the woods for two years and then started trucking lumber. He was a member of the Bigfork V.F.W. in Bigfork, Minnesota and served as treasurer for the Gideons in the Bigfork area. He was a member of the Bigfork Lutheran Church and was chairman of the Board of Trustees. Pete also served on the Bigfork Township board.

    Survivors include his wife, Wilma; one son, Ronald; three daughters, Cheryl, Janet, and Lynelle; five brothers, Bryce, Delbert, Lee, Paul, and Thomas; four sisters, Mrs. James Drake, Miss Rose Dauenbaugh, Mrs. Karl Kolm, and Mrs. Gene Root. His mother, Mrs. Lina Dauenbaugh also survives.

    Pete is buried in the Bigfork Cemetery at Bigfork, Minnesota.
