Ralph married Wanda I. Voltz on September 7, 1943, at Cohasset, Minnesota.
Following his discharge, he returned to the Grand Rapids, Minnesota area and made his home in the Bass Lake area where he farmed for many years and worked as a logger as well as operating a sawmill. He drove school bus for District 318 for many years.
Ralph was a member of St. Augustine's Catholic Church in Cohasset, Minnesota and was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Grand Rapids, Minnesota.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda; two daughters, Marlene Cole and Babette Johnson; two sons, Matthew and Darin; his mother, Georgianna Dethloff; five sisters, Rosemary Hron, Patricia Sturk, Kay Cox, Margaret Anderson, and Georgianna "Tootie" Holm; two brothers, Dan and James; and seven grandchildren.
Preceding him in death was his father, Ralph, and a daughter, Ardith. (Ardis?)
Ralph died at Itasca Medical Center in Grand Rapids, Minnesota and is buried in Itasca Calvary Cemetery at Grand Rapids, Minnesota. (Plot C-D-08-1-1)
