Ransom lived most of his life in the area, before moving to Las Vegas, Nevada seven years ago.

He worked in area mines and was the former owner of Club 38 in Bigfork, Minnesota.

Ransom is survived by his wife, FloraBelle; two sons, Gene and Douglas; one daughter, SueAnn (Richard) Hagen; and six grandchildren.

A private funeral service was conducted in Las Vegas, Nevada with burial in Itasca Calvary Cemetery at Grand Rapids, Minnesota. (Plot I-B-14-2-8)
