Ray met Connie (Nachiko) over in Japan and brought her back to the United States and married her. They started their family and lived in Grand Rapids, Minnesota for over forty years. He worked as a Maintenance Supervisor for Hanna Mining Company for thirty years and retired in Mission, Texas.
He was a loving/caring husband/father and will be greatly missed by his family.
Ray is preceded in death by his father, Ray P. Wydra, Sr., mother, Frances Pearson; and grandson Jason P. Wydra.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years of marriage, Connie; three sons, Greg (Lori), Steve (Heidi), and Fran (Barb); two grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter; siblings, Bob, Gary (Sandra), Margie (Jim) Kelley, Don (Paula), and Jerry.
Ray died at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen, Texas and is buried in Itasca Calvary Cemetery at Grand Rapids, Minnesota. (Plot C-C-11-18)
