    He returned to the United States to marry Marian Renshaw in 1918 and remained in Charles City, Iowa until moving to Grand Rapids, Minnesota in 1929.

    Survivors include his wife, Marian; six sons, Robert, David, Ray, Jr, Charles, and Loren; three daughters, Mrs. Maurice Longballo, Mrs. Roger Messer, and Leonard Deering; a sister, Mrs. Effie Ingersoll; and nineteen grandchildren.

    Buried in Itasca Calvary Cemetery at Grand Rapids, Minnesota. (Plot I-C-37-04)
