    Raymond served as an MP (Military Police) in the United States Army from 1955 to 1958.

    Raymond grew up in the Buhl-Kinney area where he attended school.

    Raymond worked for 25 years at National Steel in Keewatin, Minnesota as a millwright. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who was known to often say, "If I can't fix it, it can't be fixed."

    He was preceded in death by a daughter, Shari Wakefield; his parents; two brothers, James and Joseph, and a sister, Vivian Hoshal.

    Raymond is survived by a daughter, Susan (Norman) Nelson; four sons, Raymond, Jr. (Gladys), Todd, John, and Mitchell; three sisters, Florence (Robert) Johnson, Doris Groce, and Agnes "Dolly" Wakefield; three brothers, Dennis (Marge), Edward (Carol), and Michael Roses; three grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

    Raymond died in the University Medical Center-Mesabi, Hibbing, Minnesota and is buried in Lakeview Cemetery at Buhl, Minnesota.
