After graduation, Raymond joined the United States Air Force and served in Japan.

In 1952, Raymond was united in marriage to Marian Kiskadden in Pennsylvania.
He retired from Pittsburg Plate Glass where he was a cutter for many years.
In 1995, Raymond moved to Bigfork, Minnesota.
He loved spending time with his family and playing cards, especially cribbage.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Marian; two sisters, Lorraine Hamilton and Bertha Bjork; and a granddaughter.
Raymond is survived by a daughter, Bonnie (Robbi) Walker; two sons, Patrick (Kathy) Kinsman and Dennis (Rose) Erickson; sister, Kathleen Henry; seven grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
Raymond died at Bigfork Valley Nursing Home in Bigfork, Minnesota. Per Raymond's request, no services were held.
Raymond is buried in Hartstown Cemetery at Hartstown, Pennsylvania.
